Season of the Malignant continues to pull this trick as it goes along, so you’ll need to be focused on the Season Journey if you want to continue the story and upgrade the seasonal systems. Once you unlock the Malignant Heart system, the game will ask you to complete chapter two and three of the Season Journey before talking to Cormond - the seasonal NPC - again. In season 1, Season of the Malignant, the main story beats are often locked behind the Season Journey. Completing most of the objectives in a single chapter unlocks the following chapter and nets you a powerful collection of bonuses, like new Legendary Aspects, a chest or gear or crafting materials, and a large hunk of Favor.
In exchange for Favor (which is XP for your Battle Pass), the Season Journey will tell you to complete Cellars, upgrade your potions, and do a bunch of other things in-game that you’re probably already doing.īut the Season Journey is more than just individual objectives it’s grouped up into chapters that get progressively harder as you go along.
